American Express

American Express is an issuer of debit cards, credit cards and prepaid cards in over 90 countries all over the world.

At present, there are over 110 million of American Express cards on the market, out of which almost half is handled in the United States of America.

The American Express cards are present on the Polish market from as early as 1991. Due to the club model applied by the organization, the products offered by this company are considered rather a luxurious product to a certain degree. Today,  AmEx cards denominated in Polish zloty are issued only by Millenium Bank; in other circumstances, the cards available on the Polish market are settled in USD or EUR.

Despite rather an insignificant number of users of the American Express products in Poland, this proves to be a key payment method for each and every shop that sells its goods in North America.
