Polskie ePłatności – the new Patron of Basketball Polonia Warsaw

We are happy to announce that the Polskie ePłatności (PeP) group, one of the leaders in cashless payments in Poland, has become the new Patron of Basketball Polonia Warsaw. The Black Shirts women’s and men’s basketball sections will soon celebrate their centenary, originating from the Sports Games Section at the Polonia Warsaw Sports Club, founded in 1925. The club has a Polish Championship in its history 

PeP’s first support for Polish sport in this scale involves a partnership with SKK Polonia Warsaw (women’s basketball section) and KKS Polonia Warsaw (men’s basketball section). The patronage of Polonia involves constant financial support for both sections of Polish basketball. Polskie ePłatności, part of the Nexi Group, a European leader in the field of cashless payments, pays great attention to international talent building, diversity management and team effectiveness.

Polonia Warszawa basketball is represented at the senior level by two teams – SKK Polonia Warsaw (women, top league: Orlen Basket Women’s League) and KKS Polonia Warsaw (men, PeKao S.A. 1st Men’s League). This is a unique basketball project in Poland – running under one brand the senior women’s and men’s teams, which perform so highly in the central league competitions. This is possible because we treat women’s sports on an equal footing with men’s sports. 

The teams are managed by two separate entities – SKK Polonia (women) and Projekt 1P Sp. z o. o. (men) – being modern non-governmental organizations (NGOs), operating in the form of limited liability companies. non-profit and carrying out public benefit tasks. The main goal of Polonia basketball section is to support and disseminate physical culture and sports, as well as develop social activity through the promotion and organization of volunteering.
